The northern lights were made in 3D, not the post-processing stage. In this case, we implemented it as a large cube with animated volumetric lights in the form of northern lights.

Since Dota 2 is a MOBA game that, like all strategies, has very low quality character models, so we reworked the character models and textures and re-created the hair.
